Go Beyond – Gold Residential volunteering on children’s residential weeks – Cornwall or Derbyshire

We are proud to be an Approved Activity Provider for the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, welcoming young adults over 18 who wish to complete the residential section of their Award, while giving a child or young person a break that lasts a lifetime.

You can complete this section of your Award by becoming a Go Beyond Break Volunteer. As a Break Volunteer you’ll spend five days and four nights at our centres in Cornwall or Derbyshire, making memories with children having a break from the serious challenges they face in their home lives.

As one of the group, you’ll actively encourage the children to participate in a range of activities designed to inspire courage and self-belief, joining in yourself where possible and appropriate. You’ll stay at our centres alongside other volunteers and Go Beyond’s own Break Leaders. By getting out and getting involved, you’ll be giving every young person the moments they need to believe in themselves and think beyond the day to day for a bigger, brighter future.

Course date:
All year round.
Course location:
Par, Cornwall or Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Course fee:
A donation of £100 would be good to cover our costs for food, transport, accommodation and activities.
