The first part of your course will be learning all about Understanding the World of Money.
Money plays such a big part in our world now – it’s hard to avoid it talking about it. Every advert is selling you a different, bank, loan, credit card, or interest rate.
Sometimes it can just get too confusing, and that’s when people ignore the subject.
The biggest things to understand are the language and the world of money. What do all those words mean? Who’s actually making money from the things you do? How can you make the most of the money you have, right from the start?

In the second part of your course, you will learn tips and tricks from experts who have really started their own million-pound businesses!
The idea of setting up your own business and becoming an entrepreneur is just as exciting as it was for previous generations.
Even though the competition is tough, there are so many tools available to young entrepreneurs today that with a combination of a good idea, hard work, and learning some new skills, you could be the next ‘big thing’! If you’d like to try your own business, it helps to learn the basic skill sets needed to succeed.
At the end of your six-month course, you will receive your U:Bee Completion Certificate and Assessor’s Report, for your DofE Skills Section.

HOW DOES THIS COURSE HELP ANYONE WORKING TO ACHIEVE THEIR BRONZE, SILVER OR GOLD DUKE OF EDINBURGH’S AWARD?
The course is provided by U:Bee Online which is a licensed Skills Section Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. This means the courses we offer can fulfil all the requirements of the skills section at Bronze, Silver OR Gold Level. Choose the correct length of course you need from our selection of three- or six-month-long courses.

HOW IS THE COURSE DELIVERED?
The course material is delivered over a three-month period in your online U:Bee Learners Dashboard. The course material is informative and encourages you to do your own personal research and practice. You will also be encouraged to listen to the U:Bee #BeTheBestYouCanBe Podcast and read the U:Bee online magazine, BUZZ.
WILL I RECEIVE THE INFORMATION I NEED FOR MY e-DofE?
Yes! When you enrol for the course, you will be provided with all the information you need to complete your e-DofE. On completion, you will be given an Assessor’s Report and a Completion Certificate.
Remember – U:Bee Online is a licensed AAP, so the courses meet the high-quality standards required by The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award BUT you should always check with your Leader or Teacher that they are happy with your choice.

WILL I NEED TO SPEND MORE MONEY TO FINISH THIS COURSE?
You can finish the course and not spend any extra money. We give you lots of ideas about where to find free information and resources.
DO I NEED PERMISSION TO START THIS COURSE?
If you are 16+years, No! If you are under 16, Yes! You must be 13+years to take part in U:Bee Online Courses. Your parent or responsible adult will have to tick to say they agree to you doing the course if you need the permission of an adult.
