A Statement from The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award:

“It is with great sadness that our charity, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) and our friends throughout the world within The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Association, acknowledge the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

The Queen was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to public service, helping to shape and enrich the lives of generations. Her enthusiastic support of our charity, founded by her husband Prince Philip, has enabled The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to empower millions of young people with the skills, confidence and self-belief to reach their full potential.

We are grateful for the continuing support of the Royal Family, and thank especially HRH The Earl of Wessex, for his continued leadership of the Award worldwide.

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this sad time.”
